Liverpool have been handed an injury boost ahead of their clash with Real Madrid, with Roberto Firmino returning to training. The Brazilian striker has been absent since the end of December and was a major doubt for the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie next week.

Jurgen Klopp also welcomed back Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, and Arthur Melo to training, although Calvin Ramsay remains absent.

Chiesa and Slot Impress in Training

Federico Chiesa and Arne Slot impressed in training for Liverpool and Feyenoord, respectively. Chiesa, who is on loan from Juventus, has been in fine form since joining the Reds in January, scoring two goals and providing two assists in his first four appearances.

Slot, on the other hand, is being linked with the Liverpool managerial job and his impressive work with Feyenoord has only strengthened his case. The Dutchman led the Dutch club to the Eredivisie title last season and has them in contention for another this term.
