Chelsea Women Continue Unbeaten Run

Chelsea Women Continue Unbeaten Run

Blues Beat Brighton to Maintain Top Spot

Chelsea Women continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Kingsmeadow Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Pernille Harder and Sam Kerr either side of half-time were enough to secure the three points for the Blues, who now lead the Women's Super League table by four points.

Chelsea dominated the game from start to finish, creating a number of chances in the first half but failing to find the net. However, Harder broke the deadlock just before the break, heading home a cross from Guro Reiten.

The Blues continued to press in the second half, and Kerr doubled their lead on the hour mark, finishing coolly after being played through by Harder.

Brighton had a few chances to get back into the game, but Chelsea goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger was in fine form and made a number of important saves.

The win extends Chelsea's unbeaten run to five games in all competitions, and they will now be looking to maintain their momentum when they face Manchester United in the WSL next weekend.

Conclusion

Chelsea Women are looking like the team to beat in the WSL this season. They have a number of world-class players in their squad, and they are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment.

If they can continue to perform at this level, then they will be very difficult to stop.
